What is the sum of the roots of the equation 2x^2 - 7x + 3 ?

Maps to Category 27 of the book.

Answer posted on 09/05/2021: Answer is 3.5 or 7/2.

The two factors are (2x-1) = 0 and (x-3) = 0.

Hence, the two roots are 1/2 or 0.5 and 3.

The sum of the roots is 1/2 + 3 = 3.5 or 7/2
